Spiritual Worlds

2025 oil on canvas 50 x 70

Price € 2500

The painting presents a mystical journey between different dimensions. The spheres, intertwined with one another, symbolize parallel worlds connected through stairways of light and movement. The cities rising upon them remind us of the multilayered reality in which we exist – both earthly and spiritual. The ships with their colorful sails represent the search and voyage of the spirit, striving toward new horizons. Despite the contrasts in colors and shapes, everything blends into harmony, suggesting that the spiritual worlds are interconnected and infinite.

The path of the soul

2025 oil on canvas 50 x 70

Price € 2500

The painting depicts a symbolic journey connecting the earthly and the spiritual. The bridge, walked upon by people, resembles the path of the soul – from its beginning, through trials and encounters, toward higher consciousness and light. The enormous spheres in the sky enhance the sense of other dimensions and eternity, while the city in the distance symbolizes the earthly world left behind. The vivid colors and harmonious shapes create a feeling of movement and hope, showing that the path of the soul always leads to new horizons and spiritual growth.

Loose Pieces (F80 Film Camera) 02

2024 photography 50 x 70

Price € 1.000

Chan Suk On likes taking photographs. Sometimes, her camera needs to be fixed. The maintenance fees are very expensive. She has the urge to crack down on this black box of her camera. What’s the secret inside the camera? She used a lot of strength to loosen the screws to satisfy her curiosity. She discovered the small parts inside and revealed the unknown things hidden in the camera. There is no connection between parts and parts. They are not geometric but are composed of irregular shapes based on different functions. Loose pieces present when the object has no functions, does it still have value? When every small part is disassembled, like an anatomical picture, and has no function. Its beauty naturally emerges. These little parts are in her collection, and she reorganized them to make this artwork. Untie the parts and deconstruct them, let the objects display and breathe naturally, and appreciate the craftsmanship of the creator.

The Us of Tomorrow – Our Children’s Promises / Le nous de demain – Nos promesses d’enfants

2025 mixed media on canvas 50 x 40

Price € 900

“”The Us of Tomorrow – Our Childhood Promises””
This work was created for the theme “Memories and Future Horizons”, in the beautiful month of July. It tells the story of love and the budding complicity of children, exploring the invisible ties between past and present, the fragility and the strength of promises. Words are hidden here and there, like whispers: “The Us of Tomorrow”, “Love”…
The lion and the wolf (top left and top right) watch in silence, symbolic figures of courage, instinct, and protective love. But one must take the time to look. This canvas does not reveal itself at once; it unfolds slowly, like a score, like a story written by two hands. These children — perhaps they lived a brief idyll?
Perhaps they drifted apart as they grew older, or perhaps (as the painting seems to whisper) they found each other again, one day, by chance, as adults. Or maybe it is simply my childlike side that dares not voice its feelings, afraid that it might all just be a waking dream…
________________________________________

Eternal Spring

2025 acrylic on canvas 44,5 x 55

Price € 1.450

I was in an art shop and attracted to a light emerald green paint. It became the starting point for Eternal Spring. I really just let the painting happen itself. A palette of titanium white, lemon yellow, magenta, light green (blue shade) and light emerald green. I mix and see what emerges in the making. Springtime arrived. Driving through leafy streets, I realised that the painting was springtime, eternal springtime. Bringing light into the present for everyone to feel joy. It was painted in the past, it is visiting me here in the present, as I type and it is also waiting to be shared with the world in the future.

The Swell (series Ocean)

2024 mixed media on canvas 70 x 50

Price € 2.800

The Swell
(it is the green, yellow)
Born of the great winds,
summoned from the raw forces of nature —
they rise in emerald greens and oceanic blues,
deep yellows flickering like memory,
white light breaking like foam across the surface.
Waves that dance and whip and shift,
shape-shifters of the Earth,
flowing, seeking, moving across water,
never alone — always woven with the elements.
Their journey is vast, their rhythm ancient.
What appears before our eyes was once unseen,
a whisper from the past now revealed in this very moment.
All is in motion. All is becoming.
Transformation lives in every stroke.
We do not know the origin —
and still, we feel its truth.
Every detail, every tone
contributes to the story we choose to write.
Connected. Timeless. Alive.
I painted it after my surfing vacation on the North Atlantic coast. I was
overwhelmed by the power of the ocean and, at the same time, when you flow with
it, this life-giving, benevolent force that carries me. It was a life-changing
experience.

Nebula (series Universe)

2024 mixed media on canvas 60 x 60

Price € 2.400

Nebula (it is the brown, gold, red, blue one)
Born from red giants,
rushing through stellar winds,
the substance of the new
carrying uniqueness within itself.
Breathtaking.
Jewels of the night sky —
birthing grounds of young stars,
and at times, the remnants of exploding titans.

Interstellar matter in eternal motion,
shaped and reshaped
in the vast transformation of the cosmos.
They shine —
or swallow the light.
Stunning in their colors,
in reds, blues, and flickers of gold,
each form unique,
each form divine.
Becoming and fading.
Endlessly.
Transformation.
This painting holds the echo of this celestial dance,
in tones of earth, ducat gold,
deep reds and touches of blue —
a silent hymn to the ever-shifting universe.
Even as a child, I always gazed at the night sky. I was fascinated by the question of
where we come from. I love the feeling of observing the celestial bodies, this
indescribable vastness and the connection with everything that exists. This hidden
even though visible essence of the universe gives me a deep sense of peace.

As the time goes by

2012 oil on canvas 30 x 40

Price € 550

This artwork symbolises the process of individuation in C.G.Jung’s understanding: becoming an individual with a unique personality takes a long time, stepping out from the collective unconscious or an unspecific industrial object, shown here with an undefined colour on both sides of the artwork, into the consciously differentiated individuality. Individuality is never perfect and shows the wounds and signs of the  lifetime. With an ironic touch, the artwork shows the value of the individuation as a long time process. So, the time itself is one of the most important elements of condicio humana.

Genesis 1

2024 wooden wall object 54 x 46 x 3

Price € 750

“Genesis” explores the creative process and the delicate balance between chaos and order. Through its geometric forms and layered structure, it reflects a universal flow of energy and the interconnected nature of creation. The concept of Timebound Specter deeply resonates with me, as it reflects the interplay between the ephemeral nature of time and the enduring traces it leaves on our existence.

Contemporary icon

2024/2025 etching, aquatint 28 x 52

Price € 450

My artwork is triptych consisting of three small graphics, which combine two graphic technique: etching and aquatint. Each work shows a smartphone. Smarphone on the midle
graphic has got the halo. The title of the work is „Contemporary icon”.
This title is a bit ironic. In the past people painted Saints with the halo, because Saints were the highest worth for them. Nowadays the smartphone is this highest worth for many people in the world.

Hope 2025

performative self-staged video artwork

– A summer walk, 2020 in Mühlenhof, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania & HOPE 2025, Installation Lightpainting on glass 10 x 10 cm in Projektion. –
It encompasses the genres of performance, self-staging, video art, installation, and light painting on glass.
The video artwork was created in the summer of 2020 – in the period between lockdowns.
At the end of the film, the landscape falls silent. Present and past blur, overlapping in the empty landscapes. In 2025, climate change is
the focus of world events. Silent landscapes without insects. Rock gardens and scentless flowers. The dandelion is still considered a
harbinger of hope. A native plant and considered a weed, it is nevertheless food and medicinal for animals, humans, and the landscape.
The landscape and performance are reminiscent of a painting by Claude Monet. Only one difference: back then, the bees were still buzzing.

Woman emerging from the shadow

2025, acrylic on canvas 50 x 40

Price € 7.000

At the ”Memories And Future Horizons” group exhibition at the Ikonica Art Gallery in Milan, Italy I share with the viewers of this exhibition my view on the history of women in the society. Women have been sort of slaves in the past. The future of women in the society is not so obvious, it depends on the country and culture. With the memories of the past discrimination of women, I look at the future horizons of women emerging from the background. This is part of the story behind ”Woman Emerging From The Shadow” acrylic painting which I exhibit at this important group exhibition.

A Thursday morning in February

2022 acrylic on canvas 80 x 60

Price €2.200

A Thursday Morning in February
It’s a bit cold
but the first flowers are blooming
The sky is cloudy
but the sun is shining a little
There’s a breeze from the north-east
but the birds are singing a spring song.

At the same time,
it suddenly begins to snow
And then the snow seems to be ash
coming from the north-east
At the same time that the ashes are falling
in the north-east hope dies
With the flowers fading
and a sky that turns black
With white doves falling silent
and freezing cold everywhere.

Prehistory, development of an idea and its realisation
I have been attending a French course for years. It was in February 2022 when we read the poem ‘Chez la fleuriste’ by Jacques Prévert in class, which is about the simultaneity of an everyday scene and a tragic event. As homework, we were asked to write a similar poem in French.
Over breakfast, I thought about what I could write. I looked out of the window. The sun was peeking through the clouds a little. Outside, the primroses and dwarf irises were already in bloom and you could hear the birds chirping. But it was an extremely cold morning, as we had an icy north-easterly
current in Graz. Then the sky darkened and it started to snow lightly. When I looked at these
snowflakes, they looked to me like the ashes that gradually fall from the sky around a campfire. I
couldn’t help but think that Russia had just invaded Ukraine. And that gave me an idea for the poem.
This poem then served as a template for the painting.

Money sets you free

2022 mixed media on canvas 60 x 70

Price € 2.000

What does ‘being free’ really mean?
Does the acquisition of more and more money mean real freedom?
Can you buy your way out of moral responsibility?

The all-pervasive advertising produces countless artificial needs and deceives consumers into believing that consumption leads to self-fulfilment and increased self-esteem. The maxim applies
‘I consume, therefore I am – who!’
However, unbridled consumption ultimately leads to self-abandonment in the prison of greed and enslavement in today’s money machine.
Free will is held hostage to compulsive consumption, in which moral responsibility is locked out.

I am currently working on a project that I call ‘The Ten Commandments of Mammon Mania’. In analogy to the Ten Commandments from the Old Testament, ten pictures are being created in this project, the first five of which have already been completed. Their titles are being rewritten from their original theological-ethical formulation to a formulation focussed on money. Referring to the second commandment of this series, I have painted the picture ‘Money sets you free’ as a supplement.

I took the silhouette of the human chain from this second commandment. This human chain is trapped in a fence. The inscription ‘GELD MACHT FREI’ (‘Money sets you free’), decorated with golden discs, is emblazoned above it. The entrance gate to the Auschwitz concentration camp, which bears the extremely cynical inscription ‘ARBEIT MACHT FREI’ (‘Labour sets
you free’), served as a model for this.

Money multiplication and sweet foods have something in common: it’s hard to get enough of them. For evolutionary reasons, humans can always eat sugar, they can’t be that full. Sugar can provide short-term relief from listlessness and depression. However, uncontrolled consumption has serious consequences.

It’s similar with money. Money can always be spent, no matter how much you already live in abundance. The consumption of the many must-haves propagated by the media gives the illusion of a kind of liberation from the frowned upon ‘not being able to afford it’. The concealment of social differences takes place in all social classes and can quickly lead to excess. Then this compulsive ‘should-have-more’ attitude towards money and consumption inevitably becomes entangled in the fence of obsession with possession, power and ruthless freedom, which stops at nothing to get what it wants, regardless of any moral responsibility.

Hidden Storyline

2025 acrylic on canvas 40 x 30

Price € 250

““Hidden Storyline”” – fragments of untold memories. The painting unfolds like a quiet echo from the past — a multi-layered abstract piece that invites deep reflection and suggests forgotten memories woven into color and texture. The earthy tones combined with the textured white layers create a captivating depth, evoking traces of time and hidden stories.
In this way, the work resonates with the theme of “Memories and Future Horizons,” embodying fragments of the past that still echo in the present.

Painting is my passion – a way to express emotions and ideas through intuitive experimentation with colors and textures. In my professional life, I work with numbers, data, and facts. This

Self-taught and deeply connected to my work, I approach the canvas with curiosity and openness, allowing the process to guide me rather than following a fixed plan. My paintings are
spontaneous reflections of inner landscapes – dynamic, vibrant, and always evolving.

Vita

2025 mixed media on canvas 50 x 50

Price €550

The Lotus Series No.48

2023 oil on canvas 50 x 60

Price € 3.000

Lihong Zhang chose lotus flowers as a reflection of her culture and as a theme to further explore contemporary Impressionist painting techniques. She has developed a unique and distinctive personal painting language with bold colors and decisive brushstrokes, showcasing her outstanding personal style.

Lotus flowers symbolize the charm of Eastern Zen, tranquility, and harmony, bringing new interpretations to Impressionist works. Viewers can observe the artist’s joy in the medium of painting through carefully crafted color palettes and emotionally charged brushstrokes that convey the painter’s state of mind.

Lihong Zhang’s inspiration for her paintings often comes at night, sometimes even appearing in her dreams. She promptly captures these inspirations on canvas, often creating abstract and surreal atmospheres in her artwork when painting at night. The depicted flowers possess subjective colors that give viewers a unique visual and sensory experience.

Lihong Zhang’s oil paintings embody the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. She hopes her lotus flowers can provide visual sensations and psychological comfort to more people, allowing them to find inner peace in the chaotic world.
